The Sleight Team
As a child, Iris wanted to be: A Teacher
What most people don’t know about Iris: She is really good at board games – especially Backgammon (and don’t take her on in rock, paper, scissors).
Iris attended the University of Maryland, but it was her teenage fascination with radio that laid the groundwork for her impact on the media world. Iris began her career working for KBEQ, a powerhouse Top 40 station in Kansas City, as one of the first women to break into radio sales. Her prowess in developing unique promotions and her incredible account service became legendary in the Kansas City market. So it wasn’t surprising that Iris was eventually promoted into Sales Management, which attracted the attention of an Ad Agency that convinced her to bring her expertise into the agency world. Then in 1988, motherhood came calling. However, even this challenge wasn’t enough to keep Iris busy enough. So along with the Sleight’s first child, Sleight Advertising was born. Now over 25 years later, Iris’ trademark passion for negotiation, account service and results are evident everywhere you turn in the agency.

As a child, Andrew wanted to be: An Astronaut
What most people don’t know about Andrew: He is a published author and plans on shooting a full-length motion picture before retiring.
Andrew graduated from the State University of New York, earning a degree in Psychology, but his freshman year at the University of Kansas made him a life long Jayhawk. Thanks to an absurdly low draft number, Andrew volunteered in 1971 to defend America’s skies at a Nike Hercules missile battery. Consequently, he is one of the few agency CEO’s in the U.S. with nuclear weapons experience. After returning to civilian life, he began a career in promotion and sales with fortune 500 companies Warner Brothers, Bristol Myers and Guidant Corporation. Then after years of tough negotiation with Iris, he finally acquiesced and joined the agency in 2000. Andrew’s passion and vision has been to create a new kind of agency that is much more effective at helping companies achieve their sales goals. To this end, he has overseen the development of Sleight’s Creative Department that includes state of the art video production services and web design.
